Based on the theoretical approaches to motives of second home tourism, the article reveals motivations of Russian second home owners. Russian motives contrast other research results on the topic. Second home motives and trans-border mobility are presented in the context of societal discourse in Finland, which demonstrates contradictory opinions and expectations of Russian tourists and Finnish inhabitants. © Petrozavodsk State University |
