The importance of studying this topic lies in the increasing interest in the poetics of dreams within contemporary humanities, such including cultural studies and literary studies. The aim of this study was to identify the charac-teristics and techniques of depicting dreams and dream-like states, as well as their role in the poem “Preludium” by Tomas Tranströmer (1931–2015), a renowned Swedish poet and the recipient of the 2011 Nobel Prize in Literature. © Petrozavodsk State University |
